Our Kingdom listings ask between SAR 8500 for an early-2010s car and SAR 207313 for a current-year one. At a single age the range ladders neatly: among 2023 cars a Pegas sold at SAR 32,000, a Sonet at SAR 47,000, a Seltos at SAR 56,000 and a Sportage at SAR 69,000, while a 2025 Sportage went for SAR 81,000. The line-up has widened too — the Tasman is Kia's first proper pickup, so the badge now reaches past saloons and crossovers.

Strong for a value badge: Kias average about 55% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, and the small saloons are the most liquid part of that.

Toyota is the safer bet and the easier sale; Hyundai is the closest match on price and specification, so let condition and history separate them. Kia usually wins on warranty length and equipment.

Sound underneath, marked on the surface. Across more than 3,200 Kias we have inspected in the Kingdom, at a median of 125,000 km, 54% carried evidence of prior body or panel repair — against the 50% we would expect for sedans of the same age and mileage here — and 17% showed interior staining against the 14% expected for that class. These are cars bought to cover distance in a hot country, so cosmetic history is the norm. The Pegas is the cheapest sensible answer — lowest running costs in the range and a queue of buyers when you sell. The Cerato is the better long-distance car for little more. Take the Sportage for height and space, the Seltos for a smaller crossover, and the K5 for the most car in the saloon range.
