<p>2019 to 2021 if the budget allows, because 2019 is when the X5 changed generations — a longer, stiffer car with air suspension more widely fitted and a completely new interior. The 2014-to-2018 car is the value alternative and shares little with it beyond the badge. Below 2014 you are in the previous shape, old enough that condition decides everything.</p>
