Range Rover in Saudi Arabia is a badge bought for cabin quality and real off-road ability, spanning compact crossovers to full-size luxury SUVs — so the model matters far more than the name. The full-size car was renewed in 2022 and mild-hybrid sixes have largely replaced the old supercharged engines, so a late car drives differently from a 2018 one. We have 68 on site.

Read the closed sales a year at a time: among 2017 cars an Evoque went for SAR 58,000 and a Sport for SAR 83,000, and among 2020 cars an Evoque made SAR 93,000 against SAR 137,000 for an HSE. The compact car is the cheap way in whichever year you shop.

A Mercedes GLE is easier to own and resell; an Audi Q-car undercuts both on running costs. Buy the Range Rover for the interior and the ground clearance.

Air springs, cooling and electronics are where a neglected car bites, so those sections of the report are what you are really buying.

Start with the Sport for one car that covers the family and the fast lane. Take the Evoque if the budget is fixed, the Velar for the newest-feeling cabin, and the Vogue for the long-wheelbase car.
