Geely is a mainstream Saudi choice now rather than a gamble. The badge covers a cheap compact sedan, a small crossover, a seven-seater and two large SUVs, all priced under the Japanese and Korean equivalents. Frequently asked questions

At the same age the ladder is unusually clean. In 2024 cars an Emgrand sold at SAR 34,000, a Coolray at SAR 47,000, an Okavango at SAR 65,000 and a Monjaro at SAR 85,000 — one step per size class. A 2023 Emgrand went for SAR 29,000. Asking prices across the Kingdom run from SAR 8000 for an early example up to SAR 138559 for a current-year one.

Unusually strongly for the money: Geelys average about 60% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, ahead of several long-established badges.

Chery and Changan both offer more equipment on paper for the money. Geely's answer is the one that matters five years later: more of your money back when you sell.

Mechanically they hold up; what you must inspect is the bodywork. Across more than 900 Geelys we have inspected in the Kingdom, 54% show previous body or panel repair against the 42% we would expect for cars of the same age and mileage here, and 7% carry an electrical fault against the 5% we would expect on that basis. That is what happens to affordable cars doing dense city kilometres, not a statement about the engineering. It does mean the body pages decide which example you buy: whether the repair was done properly, and whether structure was touched.

The Emgrand is the default: lowest running costs here and the easiest to sell on. The Coolray is the same idea in a crossover body. The Okavango is the seven-seater, and the Monjaro feels a class above what it cost.
