Lexus is the establishment choice in the Kingdom, and the reason is the same across a saloon and a full-size SUV: these are known quantities at high mileage, bought by people who keep a car rather than trade out of it. We have 100 used Lexus cars listed across Saudi Arabia.
How much does a used Lexus cost in Saudi Arabia?
Our Kingdom listings span SAR 23500 for a car from the last decade to SAR 588490 for a current-year one. Set at one age the range separates by size: among 2020 cars an ES250 sold at SAR 100,000, an ES350 at SAR 119,000 and an RX350 at SAR 134,000, while a 2019 LX570 went for SAR 261,000 against an ES350 at SAR 131,000. Note also that the LX570's V8 has given way to the twin-turbo LX600, so the newest full-size cars are a different mechanical proposition.
Are used Lexus cars reliable?
Nothing else in the premium segment comes through our workshops this cleanly. Of more than 1,600 Lexus cars we have inspected in the Kingdom, at a median of 111,000 km, 9% had a fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, against the 18% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage here. Bodywork is cleaner too, at 38% showing prior repair against the 48% expected for that class. These cars also tend to be better kept, which is part of the result — read the report and confirm this one was.
Do Lexus cars hold their value?
Among the strongest in the Kingdom: Lexus cars average about 56% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, and the full-size SUVs sit well above that average.
Which used Lexus should you buy?
The ES350 is the sensible answer for most buyers — quiet, cheap to maintain, and the most comfortable way to cross the Kingdom. Take the RX350 for a crossover instead of a saloon, or the NX350 for a smaller, newer one. The LX570 is the one for off-road hardware and presence, the LS460 the most car per riyal.
Lexus or Mercedes?
Mercedes has the badge and the cabin drama; BMW has the driving. Lexus wins on what decides a used purchase here: what the car asks of you at 150,000 km.
