A year at a time, the size premium is obvious. In 2021 cars a Yukon sold at SAR 166,000 and a Terrain at SAR 56,000. In 2018 cars the same pair went for SAR 91,000 and SAR 41,000, so age roughly halves the Yukon. A 2023 Acadia sold at SAR 92,000. Live asking prices across the Kingdom run from SAR 17,000 for a high-mileage older car up to SAR 405,601 for a current-year one.

They give back less than the Saudi average, which is the argument for letting someone else buy new: GMCs average about 43% of their value after five years across the models we can measure. The Yukon is the steadiest of them, because Saudi demand for a big three-row SUV never goes away.

  • Gearbox at temperature, after a long enough drive to matter.
  • Cooling system, radiator and fans on a hot day.
  • Air suspension on higher trims, including compressor noise.
  • Interior condition, priced as a detailing job and taken off your offer.

Mechanically they are what you expect from a big American V8; the finding that stands out is cosmetic. Across more than 1,000 GMCs we have inspected in the Kingdom, 21% show interior staining against the 17% we would expect for cars of the same age and mileage here — unsurprising on family cars at a median of 175,000 km, and cheap to put right. Treat it as leverage on price, and put the real scrutiny on the gearbox, the cooling system and the air suspension on Denali trims.

The Yukon is the reason the brand is here, and it spans everything from a high-mileage workhorse to a current Denali. The Acadia gives you three rows for far less. The Terrain is the small, cheap-to-run one, and the Sierra the pick if you need a bed.
