2019 to 2020 is the sweet spot, landing after the early production run settled in but before the car aged much further. Nothing about the shape or platform changed dramatically across these years, so a strong service file on an older car beats a thin one on a newer plate.

Jaguar's own E-Pace costs less if you are willing to trade size for a smaller footprint. Against outside rivals, the Toyota Land Cruiser costs considerably more but shows far less prior body or panel repair in our inspections, the trade-off for a longer local reputation. The Chevrolet Tahoe lands at similar money for a buyer who wants size over handling.
