Saudi Arabia gets a narrow slice of the Silverado range: two off-road-focused versions of the full-size pickup, both four-wheel drive, both more than six metres long. There is no basic work-truck option here, which changes how this car should be judged. The current Silverado generation arrived at the end of the last decade and was given a substantial facelift, inside and out, a few years later.
Decide how much off-road hardware you need, then check the used Silverados listed now.
How much does the Chevrolet Silverado cost in Saudi Arabia?
Two 2026 configurations, and both are already specialists. SAR 225,650 buys the Trail Boss (Mid) with its lifted suspension, and SAR 310,014 takes you to the ZR2 (Top), which is the genuinely serious off-road truck. Neither is the plain fleet pickup this nameplate is known for elsewhere, and the pricing reflects that.
Which Silverado trim is the one to buy?
The Trail Boss, unless you have a specific reason for the ZR2. It gives you the raised suspension, the four-wheel-drive hardware and the V8 for a good deal less money, and it is the easier truck to live with day to day. The ZR2's suspension is built for speed over rough ground — impressive, and wasted if you stay on tarmac.
Chevrolet Silverado or Ford F-150?
The Silverado's 5.3-litre V8 is a simple, well-understood engine and the truck is the cheaper way into this size class here. The Ford F-150 sells in far greater numbers, which means a wider choice of engines and better resale. The GMC Sierra is mechanically the same truck as the Silverado with a more expensive interior.
Does the Chevrolet Silverado hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
Behind its class: about 40% of its value after five years, where large American SUVs and trucks here hold roughly 46%. The trucks reaching CarSwitch for inspection come in at a median of around 120,000 km, which a V8 pickup takes in its stride. What matters is how the distance was covered — towing and off-road use leave marks on suspension and driveline that the inspection report on the individual truck will show.
Is a used Silverado the better buy?
Not really, and this is one of the few models where new wins. A nearly new example generally runs around SAR 205,000 to SAR 310,000 — only about 9% under the new entry price, roughly SAR 20,000 saved — which is thin compensation for giving up the warranty.
