Asking prices across our Kingdom listings run from SAR 21000 for a car from the turn of the decade up to SAR 75670 for a current-year one.

The Toyota Corolla costs similar money for a bigger car and holds about 64%, so buy it if you find the right example. The Accent gives more equipment; the Yaris gives cheaper running costs and the faster sale.

2021 to 2023 is the sweet spot. The sedan was renewed at the start of this decade with a better cabin and more standard safety kit, and those cars are now cheap enough to make the older ones hard to justify.

About 63% of its value after five years, against roughly 56% for sedans of similar age and mileage. The Nissan Sunny is better still at about 68%, but the Yaris is the easier car to sell.
