Haval has real depth in Saudi Arabia: a small crossover, a mid-size family SUV, a coupe-roofed version of it and a ladder-frame seven-seater cover almost every Saudi family use. The Jolion effectively replaced the older H2 at the small end, and hybrid versions of the newer cars have begun appearing. We have 14 listed across the Kingdom.
What to check on a used Haval
Start with the air-conditioning findings. In this market that section decides which car you want.
Compare the models at the same age and the size steps are clear. In 2024 cars a Jolion sold at SAR 47,000 and an H6 at SAR 68,000 — compact crossover against mid-size SUV. In 2021 cars an H6 went for SAR 35,000 and an H9 for SAR 55,000, so the ladder-frame seven-seater carries a premium. Live asking prices run from SAR 32,000 for an early example up to SAR 79,500 for a current-year one.
Mid-table, and steady with it: Havals average about 50% of their value after five years across the models we can measure. The H9 is the firmest part of that, because a body-on-frame seven-seater has a specific Saudi audience.
Judge them on heat and on electronics rather than on mechanical wear, because that is what tests these cars in the Kingdom. Have the air-conditioning assessed stationary in full sun and the cooling system checked at temperature; a system that copes in March and struggles in July is the common complaint on any affordable SUV here. Then check the screens, cameras and driver aids individually, and confirm what factory warranty is left.
