The Hyundai Tucson costs similar money, is bigger inside and sits below its own segment expectation at 14% against 18% — take it if space matters more than the drive. The Jolion is cheaper and cleaner inside. The CX-30 wins on the drive and on what it is worth when you leave.

Buy on specification rather than year. The CX-30 arrived for 2020 and has not changed generation since; revisions went into equipment and trim, not platform or engine. 2021 to 2023 is the value window — past the first steep drop, still current.

Strongly — about 68% of its value after five years, against roughly 56% for small SUVs in the Kingdom and 62% across used Mazdas. Only the Haval Jolion comes close, at 65%.
