How much does a used Hongqi cost in Saudi Arabia?
Listings on our Kingdom inventory ask between SAR 51000 and SAR 165000, and body style decides nearly all of that spread — a compact crossover at the bottom of it, the full-size H9 saloon at the top. With no old generations on the market you are choosing between specification levels, and the range has widened quickly: the smaller HS3 crossover is a recent addition rather than a long-running nameplate.
Are used Hongqis reliable?
Better than the segment on the two things that cost real money. Across the Hongqis we have inspected in the Kingdom, 22% showed evidence of prior body or panel repair, against the 32% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage here, and 2% had a mechanical fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, against the 7% expected for that class. Hongqis average about 54% of their value after five years across the models we can measure — short of the Japanese SUVs that set the benchmark in the Kingdom, but respectable.
Which used Hongqi should you buy?
Start with the Hongqi HS5, the mid-size crossover that covers the widest price band and suits a buyer who wants choice. The Hongqi Ousado is the step up for equipment without the flagship money. Take the Hongqi H9 only if you actually want a full-size saloon; the HS3 is the answer if parking matters more than space.
