About Mitsubishi Attrage

The Attrage is the cheapest new car Mitsubishi sells in Saudi Arabia and, at 20 Km/L, among the most economical of any brand at any price. It is a small sedan with a large boot and a modest engine, sold almost entirely on those two facts, and it makes no apology for that.

Is a used Attrage the better buy?

The saving is real. A nearly new example generally goes for around SAR 20,000 to SAR 35,000, about 56% under the new entry price, or roughly SAR 25,000 kept back. At that money the Attrage stops competing with new small sedans and starts competing with much older, larger cars — and it will outlast most of them.

Weigh the new base car against the used Attrages listed now; the gap on this model is one of the widest in the range.

How much does the Mitsubishi Attrage cost in Saudi Arabia?

Nothing else new in the Kingdom starts this low. The GLX opens the range at SAR 46,900, and the GLX HL asks SAR 58,000 for a better-equipped version of an identical car — same 1.2 L engine, same 5 seats, same 450-litre boot underneath the styling.

Which Attrage trim is the one to buy?

The base car does the job the Attrage exists to do. Buying up brings comfort and convenience items but no change in how the car drives or what it costs to keep, and on a vehicle chosen to hold a monthly outgoing down, that money is better left unspent. If you cover long distances, spend it on better tyres instead.

Mitsubishi Attrage or Toyota Yaris?

The Attrage undercuts everything, returns about 20 Km/L and holds its value unusually well for a budget sedan — a rare combination at this money. The Toyota Yaris is the better-finished car with the deeper dealer network and the easier sell to a cautious second owner, while the Hyundai i10 is smaller and cheaper again if the boot is irrelevant to you.

What does a Mitsubishi Attrage cost to run in Saudi Arabia?

Very little indeed. The 1.2 L engine is simple enough that routine servicing is quick and cheap wherever you have it done, insurance sits at the bottom of the market, and no part of the car needs specialist tooling. Plenty of workshops know it, so once the warranty is behind you there is no obligation to stay inside the authorised network.

Does the Attrage hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?

Strongly for its bracket: about 63% after five years, against roughly 56% for the average used Saudi sedan. The examples CarSwitch inspects arrive at a median of around 85,000 km and the wear pattern is ordinary for a small sedan of that age — tyres, brakes and bushes rather than anything structural. On cars this cheap the difference between two of them is how they were driven, which is what the inspection report tells you.
