Three versions of the 296 are listed: a fixed-roof berlinetta, a retractable-hardtop spider and a track-focused package on top. All use the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor, and all drive the rear wheels.
Decide the roof first, then whether the track package will ever be used — it is the one option that changes the car every day.
How much does the Ferrari 296 cost in Saudi Arabia?
The steps buy a roof and then a specification, not more power — output is identical across the three at 819 bhp bhp. The 296 GTB (Berlinetta Coupe) is the entry car at SAR 1,550,000, the open-topped GTS follows, and the Assetto Fiorano Package sits at the top at SAR 1,800,000.
Which 296 is the one to buy?
The GTB if the car will be driven hard, because the fixed roof is lighter and stiffer. The GTS if it will be used on evenings and weekends, where the folding hardtop costs almost nothing in refinement. The Assetto Fiorano package is a track specification — lighter components and firmer settings — and is wasted on a car that only sees roads.
Do you need to plug it in?
Not at all. The 296 is a hybrid that manages its own battery and runs on petrol regardless, so charging is optional rather than a condition of ownership. Plugging in overnight buys a short silent range for early departures. Everything else about running it is conventional: petrol, tyres and brakes.
Ferrari 296 or SF90?
The 296 is the more delicate car and the better one on a public road — lighter, rear-driven and easier to read at the limit. The SF90 is a different proposition entirely: four-wheel drive, a V8 and far more power for far more money. The Roma is the one to take if comfort matters as much as pace.
