Our closed Saudi sales put a used Chery Tiggo 2 at about SAR 30,000 for a 2023 and SAR 29,000 for a 2022, so the model year barely moves the price — condition, service history and remaining warranty do the work.
Suspension and steering wear is the pattern. 18% of the Chery Tiggo 2s we inspect in Saudi Arabia show a mechanical fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, against the 6% we would expect for small SUVs of the same age and mileage in the Kingdom. The Geely Coolray records the same 18% against a 9% expectation for its own class, so this is a budget-crossover pattern rather than a Chery one. Alongside it, 12% arrive on mismatched or damaged tyres against the 3% expected for the class. Median mileage is only about 48,000 km, so this is about use, not distance.
The MG ZS is the bigger, better-equipped small SUV and shows prior body or panel repair on 44% of the ones we inspect against 35% expected for its class. The Hyundai Creta is the mainstream answer, though 14% of them come in with interior staining against 8% expected for Kingdom small SUVs of the same age and mileage.
2022 and 2023 are the cars to look for. The Tiggo 2 was restyled towards the end of its run with the current grille and a larger touchscreen before the Tiggo 2 Pro replaced it, so those later cars feel a generation newer inside for very little more. The mechanical package never changed, so this is a condition decision.
This is the surprise on the page: a Tiggo 2 keeps about 61% of its value over five years, against 51% for small SUVs in the Kingdom and 54% across Chery. The Haval Jolion is the only thing here that beats it, at roughly 65%.
