The cars we inspect run a median of around 219,000 km, genuinely high mileage. A car with that much distance covered and a documented service history is a different proposition from one with the same mileage and no paperwork, so ask for the paper trail before you ask about the number itself.

The BMW 735 costs considerably more and represents the badge-first choice at this size. The Lexus ES250 also asks more but reports mechanical faults on just 4% of cars against the 15% we would expect for large sedans of this age, a track record the CTS has not matched.
