Toyota is the safe default in Saudi Arabia: everything from small saloons to the Land Cruiser, parts in every city, and buyers waiting whenever you sell. The biggest recent change in the range is that the Land Cruiser dropped its V8 for a twin-turbo six. 300 are listed with us.

Frequently asked questions

There is a Toyota at almost any budget, with listings from SAR 21,000 for an early-2010s car to SAR 315,000 for a current-year one. Read it a year at a time: among 2023 cars a Yaris sold at SAR 46,000, a Corolla at SAR 52,000 and a Camry at SAR 92,000, while the 2023 four-wheel drives went at SAR 153,000 for a Prado and SAR 253,000 for a Land Cruiser. A 2020 Prado sold at SAR 114,000, so age moves the money as hard as the model does.

No mainstream brand does it better in the Kingdom: Toyotas average about 61% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, and the four-wheel drives sit at the strong end of that spread.

A Hyundai gives more kit and a longer warranty for the money; a Nissan gives you the Patrol. Toyota gives the shortest wait when you sell, which is worth real money.

Fewer turn up with something wrong than the market average: across 6,454 Toyotas inspected in the Kingdom, at a median of 100,000 km, 11% had a fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, where the figure for cars of the same age and mileage here is 16%. Tyres came in at 3% against 5% for that group. That is the brand picture, not a promise about one car — which is what its mechanical report is for.

The Yaris is the cheapest way in, the Corolla the easiest to sell again. Step up to the Camry for a highway saloon, the RAV4 for a crossover on saloon money, or the Land Cruiser when the car has to work outside the cities.
