This first-generation GLA launched in 2014 and was refreshed in 2017 with updated styling and infotainment, and production of this shape ended in 2020 before the current, taller GLA generation took over — a later car in this range gets you the improved version without stepping up to the newer, pricier shape.

The GL500 is cheaper in the range and a genuine full-size SUV if you have outgrown this compact crossover, and shows less prior body or panel repair than you might expect for the segment — 41% against the 58% we would expect for full-size SUVs of this age and mileage in the Kingdom. The Toyota Land Cruiser is far dearer but the benchmark for long-term reliability in this class.
