A 2019 Lexus ES350 averaged SAR 131,000 in our closed Saudi sales, a 2017 SAR 90,000 and a 2014 SAR 46,000. Current asking prices run from SAR 72,500 for a late-2010s car up to SAR 72,500 for a current-year one — around 14% under what a new ES350 costs, which is why a lightly used example is the sensible way to buy one.

It beats Saudi expectation on all four things we grade. 38% of the Lexus ES350s we inspect in the Kingdom show evidence of previous body or panel repair against the 51% we would expect for saloons of the same age and mileage here; mechanical faults appear in 13% against 21% expected for that same group, interior staining in 8% against 15%, and electrical faults in 4% against 10%. At a typical 121,000 km, that is the strongest case for the V6.

The Lexus ES250 is the same car with the four-cylinder engine and inspects even more cleanly, at 4% mechanical faults against a 15% expectation for its class — take it if fuel bills matter more than overtaking. The BMW 740 is a size above for similar money and the better car to be driven in. The Mercedes E350 is the sharper drive.

2019 to 2021 is the value window. The ES changed platform for 2019 and the difference is obvious from the driver's seat: tighter body control, more rear space, a quieter cabin. Cars from 2013 to 2018 ride softly and are decades of engineering away from unreliable, but they are the previous design and priced accordingly — the 2014 and 2017 figures above are that car.

Solidly rather than spectacularly — about 54% of its value after five years, just ahead of the 53% typical of Saudi saloons and a little behind the 56% average across Lexus here.
