Whichever has the most factory warranty left. The K3 is a single-generation car here with the 1.6-litre four, launched as the Cerato's replacement in the early 2020s and lightly updated since, so there is no platform or engine change to steer around. Kia's cover in the Kingdom runs long and transfers to you, which on a car this young is the biggest single variable in what it is worth.
The Toyota Corolla costs similar money and is the more conservative buy, but its panel history is heavier at 60% against 48% expected for its band and a comparable car will usually be older. The Kia K4 is the larger, newer step up within Kia. The K3's case is simple: a nearly-new sedan, still under warranty, at used-car money.
The bodywork is unusually clean for the class: 21% of the Kia K3s we inspect in Saudi Arabia carry evidence of previous body or panel repair, against the 37% we would expect for sedans of the same age and mileage in the Kingdom. That is a function of how young they are — median mileage is around 60,000 km — and it is a real advantage over the older sedans the K3 competes with on price. For contrast, the Kia Cerato it replaced runs at 70% against 56% expected for its own band.
Read the CarSwitch report alongside the warranty paperwork — on a sedan this young, those two documents are what you are actually buying.
