A 2023 Changan Uni-V averaged SAR 47,000 in our closed Saudi sales and a 2025 SAR 56,000, so the newest cars carry only a modest premium over the first ones. At that money you are choosing between a recent Uni-V and a much older Corolla or Elantra — a very different kind of compromise.

Front-end paint and panel work is the recurring finding. 50% of the Changan Uni-Vs we inspect in Saudi Arabia show evidence of prior body or panel repair, against the 35% we would expect for sedans of the same age and mileage in the Kingdom. Set that beside the Toyota Yaris at 61% against a 44% expectation for its own class and the picture is clear: this is what compact sedans in heavy city traffic look like. A low nose collects kerb and bumper damage; those repairs are cheap and common. The report tells you whether structure was touched — the only part that should change your offer.

Any year from 2023 on is a sound buy. The Uni-V only arrived in the early 2020s and has run unchanged mechanically since, so there is no facelift or platform break to work around. The distinction worth chasing is trim: the higher grade brings the twin screens and the full driver-aid suite, and on a car this new that matters more than the year.

Within Changan the Eado is the cheaper, more conventional sedan with more rear headroom, and it shows panel repair on 62% of the cars we inspect — worse than the Uni-V on the same measure. The Toyota Corolla is cheaper used and the easier car to own for a decade, but nobody calls it exciting. Buy the Uni-V for the shape and the equipment.
